Indeed. I ordered last Tuesday and I just knew i had missed a window of availability. 6 days later, I have a brown box full of HPS parts. I also odrered the K&N drop ins, which arrived Friday, and were dropped in 2 minutes after opening. I know the car pretty well by now so I can say with confidence, that I immediately noticed a slight increase in throttle response. Is that possible with just a higher flowing air filter?? Trying hard to attribute it to placebo effect..(But I can still feel it, undeniably)
Definitely looking forward to putting these on now. I've got the F.I. TDX 18" with HCF ordered as well. SOMEBODY... give me a reason not to change my order to the L.T.H's....phuckin lovin the idea of more low end torque. (another thread, yes, I know). |

Be sure to re-dyno before/after on the same one to see appropriate gains.

you say that now but when you are fighting and cursing your airboxes you'll be singing a different tune. Unless you remove your strut bar the install can be a pain if you dont want to trim anything.

Ordered from Corsport this passed Thursday, received today, and installed this evening. I didn't remove the strut tower brace and really didn't feel this was that difficult, I got lucky I guess. No need to trim these, as instructions mention, perfect fit. I also have the AFE dry filters. Butt-dyno approved.

I didn't remove the strut tower and had no lube but a little sweet talking and a lot of force and she finally gave in. Wait what are we talking about? Also the Cobb tubes just came in a box with a receipt and no instructions only in hindsight did I think it would have been easier without the tower there, and now KY

Need some Help
I finally decided to install my HPS tubes today and ran into some problems. The left side tube fit just fine and all hook up great. The right side tube would hook up to the air box and the intake just fine but the alignment of the little plastic box would not line up at all. I could get it hooked up but then it puts a bad kink in the main intake hose. I tired both tubes and same problem on the right side.
Both of my HPS intake tubes are exactly alike. Is there suppose to be a right and a left? The tubes came in separate plastic bags with different part numbers on them, but they are the same. I worked on this project for two hours (most all of that was scratching my head) which should have taken 15 minute for the whole thing. Bottom line is that I didn’t like what I saw so put it all back to stock. |
