wow, I'm surprised to see 5zigens email in my inbox today. Basically I emailed them 3 months ago asking what the dyno numbers were for this video
YouTube - Nissan 370Z Z34 on Dyno 12.10.08 [YOUTUBEHQ]NDQWK1Ny3q0[/YOUTUBEHQ] and today they email me the result : 334ps/6800rpm w/5ZIGEN SP muffler http://www.5zigen.co.jp/english/prod...5-1-190220.jpg http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...Z_com/P1-2.jpg You're more than welcome to ask our sponsors or make a thread asking who's the authorized 5zigen distributor here among sponsors. |
334ps is what to the whp?
I would love to see a dyno graph of stock vs 5zigen.

It's gotta be this or Greddy for me, now i just have to handle the wait....... |
I wonder which exhaust gives you more power, 5zigen or Stillen. It seems like the sound form these exhausts are pretty similar...
What is the price landed here in the US?
Can someone explain this? 334ps/6800rpm w/5ZIGEN SP muffler Those are the results they emailed AK with but I am still not understanding those numbers. If you look online it says to convert PS-HP you can just use the same numbers for a estimate cause they are so close so that would mean that it is a increase of 2hp for the flywheel? Or am I missing something?
Ya, Im in the same boat... i know it cant be to the wheels so whats the real deal?
Really liking the sound of this one. I'd like to see what the actual exhaust looks like underneath the car as well as the tentative price it'll be sold at.
A price would be nice, here.......
I really like the sound of this exhaust also. the conversion from 163,000 JPY is $1620.24 thats what i got.
So far this is my favorite sounding one.
Anyone know who carries this? |
My concern is that this is not a true dual exhaust since the one for the 350Z wasn't and from the limited pics it looks very much like it.
I just got off the phone with 5ZIGEN. They said this exhaust is due at the end of this month with an msrp of $1900. This exhaust is NOT a true dual. It has a Y-pipe that converges to a single pipe, later splitting again at the mufflers. I also asked about their dyno results but apparently their test car had a speed limiter at 180 kmph (112 mph) so their car wasn't fully tested. They did say it gained about 10 hp from the testing so far though.
I love the sound of this exhaust but from what I found out so far, it's too pricey for me and will most likely yield lesser power gains due to it not being a true dual system. |
