Need help diagnosing a problem.

you should be happy your car only does the hiss around 2000ish mine does it whenever I let go off the throttle. freeflow exhaust = drone and hissing man.

Honestly, I couldnt tell ya what it is. This was taken in the morning, after a rainy night. It was right after the car had idled down.. I assume it was just whatever collected in the exhaust in terms of moisture in the air.

I dont think that section of the exhaust can get any tighter. It's got a gasket in there, and is as tight as I could get it. I may try to pull it off and use some kind of sealant.

Condensation builds in exhaust systems. That was just a bit of water spraying out there.
