If you compare the Stock VS MD, you will see the differences, there is no need for tuning it, but it will help a lot, just the fact that it is allowing more air to run through. The combination with aftermarket intakes and exhaust, there is no telling what HP and Tq will display on dynos. Right now the MD exhaust is on its works. Let me say, it will raise the bar in performance. No one has ever seen what this exhaust will do. The technology on this is mind blowing. I’m not hyping it up in no way shape or form, I have seen it, I have seen the design and I have seen what it’s going to do, great exhaust ever.
As for the M370, My review on this product is all around great, installation very easy. Performs great, you can still use the stock engine cover for a more stealth look; the tone of motor is different, more aggressive. But be careful, the sounds of it is addicting and you’ll run out of gas fast, lol
So, seat of pants how much hp/tq do you think you picked up? I am worried that doing this along with my current breathing mods will gain less (if there are gains to be had) but that can only be answered with a before and after dyno. If there are 10-20 rwhp to be gained, I will be very interested.

I will give Motordyne a call tomorrow to see what is up, but I would definately use my OEM engine cover over the Motordyne version.

This seems dubious, from the OP:

Quote:
You will feel the kick, worst case, on a 100 degree day you’re looking to gain an additional 12hp/16tq, that’s the worst case.
When this manifold went through the R&D, it was tested in low temperature and high temperature for a more accurate reading. From the dyno testing, 12hp/16tq was the lowest gains, it was consistent but the lowest with the highest atmosphere temperature. Now remember, many factors come to play when doing a dyno reading.
It’s not 50hp gain, it’s more in the lines of 12hp being the lowest to 25hp being the highest from what I witness myself.
Read more at Announcement!!! My New Manifold!!!! - MY350Z.COM Forums
Reading the developments form MotorDyne, seems like this is kind of a VQ35HR-VQ37VHR manifold hybrid. It is indeed a modified stock manifold of some sort.

i had spoken to Motordyne for a month now.. i told them to tell me once this manifold is released.

and this is true this manifold was released only 1 weeks ago only..

the price of it is 699$

I was told that this manifold is not for HR.. its only for VHR.. there is a reason y it called M"370"..

but after seeing this thread on 350z forum.. Im totally confused :S...

Still waiting for dyno...

Seems pretty easy to understand to me....

Nissan did not want this manifold to be swapped onto the VHR engine so they made a series of deliberate design alterations between the two to make it impossible to swap them.

Hence the CNC modifications, hoses, fittings, new bolts and top plate.

Quote from MotorDyne.

I think you guys are right.. maybe its same design as 350z Manifold but made to fit the VHR..

Each stock engine has a different compromise within their stock power curve.

So the thing to do is combine the two curves and switch between one or the other at their crossover point. (RPM dependant).

This way the best of both can be attained... for both engines!

Simple in concept but it will be a great engineering challenge to implement.

Thanks for the link! Hey, if it works then I could care less where it came from.

Oh man... I hope this doesn't turn into another Stillen supercharger kit debacle with 'extensive engineering & testing'.

It doesn't have to look good to perform well. The plenum is kind of an eye sore, so I'll just keep it hidden with the engine cover.
