Now now . . . would you all have been content to 'just be told' about my nifty new shift knob? Of course not, you'd all have demanded pics!

Yes because aesthetics count at that point. The graph is important to see the curve, but it could be easily described until pics are up. I'm just not being too patient lately. I am patiently now awaiting pics

The current trend in cars is understated vs overstated, but all I see is vendors posting their new products on this list and people wanting sound clips or video's of the product. A little dissapointed that people seem to be more into bling than zing. The first thing people on the Vette lists want to know is how much it dyno's, not what it sounds like. Wow........where are the independent dyno results? I'd hell of a lot rather post a kill story instead of "it sounds killer" story. Don't you guys really care if it's fast or not?? |

Denny, it's getting old quick.
Not everyone here wants sound, not everyone here wants performance. Not everyone on your coveted Vette forums wants to see power power power. If I get on the vette forums and give you guys a great set of headers that sound like **** no one will buy it. I'm a little disappointed that you cant see past the few people on here that want bling. There's people like that everywhere. Also, where on this thread do you see ANYONE talking about caring about sound rather than performance. Almost every post wants to know power gains and what the torque curve looks like. I think you've just been saving that comment because you are getting frustrated with some people who want to take the car a different direction than you. You don't have to be disappointed, just understand that people like different things. This isn't anything personal, but sometimes we may get into trends that other people start finding annoying and someone needs to let us know. I like your performance-focused approach. I am the same way, just take it easy. Last edited by RCZ; 03-11-2009 at 08:57 AM. |

Denny, remember that practicality is application specific. My application is having a fast and fun daily driver, not a race car I drive on the streets. For me an exhaust has to meet a lot of criterea before I purchase it. These include weight, power, quality, sound and looks. I don't want an exhaust that ruins the looks of my car any more than I want one that sounds like *** or doesn't make power. Why choose between looks, sound and performance? Demand it all and choose the one with the least compromise in what is more important to you. |

My thing is I've seen so many dishonest power claims, that I refuse to believe any until I see someone test aftermarket products who is not trying to sell it. Horrible attitude right..... then prove me wrong the gains are not overstated and it not an accident if they are. Hey, I'll be the next in line to buy if you can. Honestly waisted a lot of money on things that didn't do what they said they would do. Really......... and that gets old also. |

I like that you are trying to call bs on some of these vendors that are posting outrageous claims. I think you have every right and that you should definitely test things out and that will help all of us. I will be testing JWT intakes in the coming weeks...but I dont want to have to go all the way to the dyno (hour away) to just test intakes, so I'm also waiting on GTM to release their super duper 24whp exhaust system to test along with it. I need to get those two and the oil cooler before I can go test again... Also waiting on your test of the stillen longtube intakes...
