Dyno?
Semtex,
Great job on the sound clips, posts and install pointers. The combination sounds perfect. Do you have any plans to get a dyno done? It would be interesting to see a dyno before and after a tune with the combination (HFC + exhaust). I'm considering a similar setup but also includg a CAI, most likely the Stillen long tube. Thanks

Wow! Great videos. That sounds amazing. Either that camera picks up the sound really well, or it is pretty loud, because on the drive by video, you can hear the car even when it's all the way down the road. Sounds great though.

It IS louder, quite a lot louder, actually. Bear in mind that I'm using a digital camera to record these. The microphone isn't the greatest. Think of the difference in how cars sound when you watch a race on TV vs. how it sounds if you actually go to the track. Hard to do the real-life sound justice.

They are 49 state compliant, with California being the odd man out (go figure). Shouldn't be a problem with emissions. Keep in mind that these are actual catalytic converters -- they're just higher flowing ones is all. It's not like they're test pipes with no substrate material to filter the emissions. You can also look at Berk's website if you want more info.

Sounds real good Semtex. I can't wait to install my BERK HFC's. I didn't have time this weekend. To much yard work to start on. It's just that time of year. But I did install Jim Wolf Popchargers since that only took about an hour. Those with HFC's and my Nismo exhaust. Should sound good and clean. Maybe next weekend.

Although, this will pass emission, here in California, you'll fail visual inspection.
Semtex... your Z sounds amazing! Are you considering in dyno tuning it? Last edited by RDGR12; 03-09-2009 at 08:12 PM. |
