This will be my exhaust...what do ya think?

I ran these on my srt-10, I'll be using 2.5"x26" (hopefully that long) on the Z. I plan on just removing the nismo, are there any bolt on straight pipes

you are going to be ungodly loud. I ran Long Tube headers with straight pipes to the stock muffler and its ridiculous, I'm talking extremely illegal ridiculous. However I can drive it quietly when I want. I'm pretty raspy but your "chambered" pipes should get rid of that.

You think it'll be that loud with the stock cats in it? I didn't think so but I don't want to chance it...

Hmmm, with the stock cats you should be ok. I forgot to mention that the cats from my experience are the biggest sound deadening part of the exhaust.

Yeah, i planned on leaving the cats alone, just gettin rid of that huge muffler in the back, these powersticks should give it a very unique sound, as well as remove some rasp and keep its toned down from straight pipes. Ill also probly use an x-pipe in place of the factory h-pipe...

Should sound good. I'd say go for it. For the best sound I'd go with an H-pipe.

Have no fear amigo. I'll but dumping that canyon of a can next week for some custom bolt up pipes. With TP's and stock resonators in place, I'm hoping for a bit of noise. That rear can sucks the life right out of the exhaust note on the NISMO. I was going to put on a 6" Magnaflow race can in line with the tips, but decided to run straight at first.

I'd do the race canisters; straight through has been done before and apparently it was much too loud and had way too much highway drone. Sounded nice, though.

I'm going to continue with the ghetto washer mod until I get a new TIG welder this xmas... No way I'm paying $1200 for an exhaust I can fabricate for $500.

I dont pay much for my exhaust, no reason, i had full 3" stainless exhaust with the 3" x-pipe and powersticks which sounded and flowed excellent, all welded in for about $300.

This may end up being too loud for a street application if you go straight pipes.

I would recommend against it.
