Dyno numbers for HKS Hi-Power Ti???
I've been patient and I've searched..... cannot for the life of me find dynos for HKS Hi-Power Ti exhausts. I know AK installed this exhaust and only saw +1 HP from it, but the dyno was messed up.
Does anyone know what this thing is putting down to the wheels? I figured HKS would have put more time into marketing their product with dyno numbers.... or perhaps they didn't like the outcome? I don't know. But this is one sexy exhaust and sounds amazing too, but I need numbers! lol Who has them? |
Mine just came in yesterday...I plan on dynoing, but it will be with the G3 intakes and Berk HFCs installed as well. If the dyno wasn't an hour away, I'd definitely do independent dynos.
|
Sounds good because I'm going with Berk HFC's as well and I've already got the Stillen G3. Hopefully this setup doesn't throw a CEL.

That looks like ilive2win's car. I don't believe he had a baseline dyno so it's impossible to say what gains he got after installing the exhaust unfortunately.

Agreed :)

I don't have the chart laid over the stock at the moment but on mine (NISMO model) the HKS made a small gain all the way through over the factory NISMO exhaust (which already has the better section 1). Peak was 305.1 HP & 249.8 TQ at the wheels on a rainy day and on a Dynojet. Average was about 5 HP higher than the NISMO exhaust. Sound DB level was below 95 DB (for all states that comply with CA law on that). 98's dyno may be more apples to apples for you though.
Sounds very nice but not annoying in any way due to the sub silencers and looks aswesome. Tips are adjustable in lenght as well so it's nice for guys who are running the diffusers and rear skirts. |
Hi i'm new here so i don't know what to say but i got a 370z 40th anniversary. I wanted to hook up the HKS Hi-Power Ti exhausts but i don't know the number's it puts out. Does anyone know how much hp and torque it puts out?

10-15hp is typically the normal gains expected for a catback though. |
I just changed my exhaust from an F.I. with 12" resonators to the HKS and I noticed significant low and mid-range improvement with the butt dyno over the F.I.

does any one think magna-flow exhaust would be better then hks hi-power?

I don't think Magnaflow looks like this! http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...939_edited.jpg Magnaflow will be cheaper but HKS is well built using best materials and equipment(s). |
Ha fail!

All this HKS talk is making me excited! My package is coming this afternoon!

Thier stuff is 100% made in Japan. I've seen it with my own eyes when I did a factory tour in 2001 when I went to Tokyo Auto Salon. That just appeals to some people. The exhaust systems are an impressive combo of automation and hand build. They're the oldest tuner of the major Japanese brands and the most stable. They also have the best reputation for stelling stuff that works and doesn't break. It's not far fetched to think it works as well or maybe even better than and FI. It also has a different look and tucks under the car better. I'll have my review done soon. I know a fair amount about the company and the exhaust so I'll try to make it an interesting read. Only bummer is I dont have a comparo dyon, just the final result. I'll come back and link it here when it's up. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...t/DSC_0066.jpg Quote:

Very nice sir. Thanks for posting. Sounds great.
What numbers did you get from this exhaust? |

Awesome. I've got a woody because you went the same route I had planned on going anyways as far as intake, exhaust, and HFC. Probably won't be doing the manifold unless money flys out of my *** and I can get a TT setup.

Don't forget the extra 20rwhp gained by placing the HKS logo ON the exhaust system.....

How loud is this exhaust below 3000 RPM compared to stock or a nismo exhaust?
|
Not bad at all after warm up, sounds a little louder/deeper than stock with my test pipes.
