What's loud to me may not be loud to you. So, you're probably going to have a better luck using the Nissan 370Z Forum - Search Forums function (advanced google search too if you want). Personally, I'd have to say Meisterschaft GT Haus exhaust. It's so loud, I personally do not recommend to anyone unless your car is "track only" Z.

Best and Loudest are two different categories....If you want Best...than it all comes down to your personal preference...What's best for me may not be best for you...Now if you're looking for loudest...than I have to back up AK on his recommendation....The Meisterschaft GT Haus Exhaust is the loudest there is out there...Hand Down!!!! Best IMO...and My Opinion Only...is Berks or FI...Again...this is based on my personal preference.

Im going to get the GThaus, i like it raw FI dynoed there's at average of 20HP gain which is the highest i've seen, thats if its true. You could look into GTM 3" if you want to go F.I. in the near future. just an idea. Last edited by destinyZ; 08-25-2010 at 02:57 AM. |

You may want to think ahead of you plan to do high flow cats. If you get something nuts now it may be rediculous down the road.
I think my HKS will be perfect later. Right now it sounds good but fairly tame inside the car because of those sub silencers.

If you believe a 20HP gain claim on a CBE, all I can say is I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you!

Berk has only made one or two successful supply shipments thus far. Berk CBEs are a minority on this site. Most members use the stock exhaust. As for aftermarket, I'd say that Stillen and FI are the most popular. However, there are a good number of people with Invidias too.

ha. Umm, i did say if it was even true ppl. I dont believe it considering the nismo has only 18ish more HP with exhaust and tune. also IMO by way of exhaust if you want best bang for your bung get test pipes or HFC. under $500 and you get a great gain. exhaust=sound. yes you get gains but you can remove the cat and get gains close to it. its a budget builds best friend if you dont have the money yet for an exhaust. |

Exhaust preference is so subjective (echoing other comment made here). Personally, I'm glad there are so many options for exactly that reason.
I've altered the exhaust on many of the cars I've owned, from aftermarket systems to custom systems (which tend to be cheaper but the gains are unproven). Some of the best sound can be achieved through removal of stock parts (resonators, cats, mufflers), but there is a bit of cross-your-fingers-and-hope-it-sounds-good factor involved. And, there is always the possibility of losing torque, HP, or both with this approach. I took a somewhat backwards approach, in that I chose and exhaust (FI) before I bought my Z. The whole package is what was important to me. And how an exhaust sounds inside the cabin is far more important to me than the aural experience of pedestrians and fellow commuters. I want to turn off the radio in favor of the sound of the car. Frankly, I've yet to hear a bad aftermarket exhaust for the Z. That is probably part of the problem. They all sound great and offer gains of one type or another. My point: get what you want. Who cares who else likes it/has it.

I'd love to hear how that sounds. I'll bet tone and loudness are going to be really good.
