I took my Stillen G3's off today and lookie what I found.





this is what happens when you think you're a know it all and dont pay attention to instructions. The AC line literally had a millimeter or two worn down and it wouldnt have taken much more before a hole was completely worn through, I was one of the lucky ones, so please, if you get them, make sure that you put some rubber radiator hose tubing around those pipes!!!

Wow, it is a damn good thing you caught that when you did! I already have some hose ready to protect the A/C lines for my install this week, this definately reconfirms why.

I've had my G3's in awhile, and I keep forgetting to check the AC lines. Kudos and rep for the reminder.

yeah, a few guys actually had issues because it ate completely through their lines, if i'd have let this thing go any longer, i'd probably have the same problem, thank god I caught it when I did.

no prob, when I took the fascia off, sure enough, that intake tube was resting flush right on top of the line, stupid me for not following directions.

Thank god for the ruined bumper now when they put on the new one they can see if the lines are damaged

Get some fuel hose in Auto Zone or Advance then splitted and put it over the AC line for the rubbing issue.

I did had the same problem in the 350Z with the JWT Popcharger.

still should provide like a good rubber piece to put over that.. considering almost everyones talking about it.

yeah, the rubber piece is a given, I didnt put one on when I installed it because I didnt bother to look at Stillens instructions, and if there would have been a hole completely through, it would have been my own damn fault, but I just wanted to show everyone with the G3's to keep an eye out and to fix the issue if they did the same thing I did.

i meant stillen should provide a formed one to fit properly witht he kit

if stillen knows that it's product can cause damage it should provide everything needed to avoid the damage.

It's pretty funny how Stillen does not tell you do that to keep your AC lines safe. Or do they give you the rubber radiator hose tubing..

The supplied rubber hoses they give you are more than enough. They give you two hoses that are like 6-8" long and you cut both in half and then you've got two for the AC lines, and 2 for the CAI pipe.

I actually did it the hard way and installed the G3 and forgot to install the hoses over the AC and then remembered a week later and ripped the bumper back off and installed the hoses to protect my AC.

I'm so glad you caught the line issue.. but this is documented in the install, and rubber hose provided for your use..

I'm a little confused on why that wouldn't have been done?? The A/C lines are a very thin aluminum.. and will definitely wear through if contact is made..

We've outlined this in the instructions? Not sure what we can do more?
