Im not a mechanic by any means but it seems like to me, if this were to actually happen, a regular cat would have a higher likeliness of clogging and spitting **** back than a hfc that is designed to keep the exhaust flowing more easily. Or am I missing something here on how the two items are fabed.

I've heard of turbo cars sucking up the broken end of an EGT senor in the downpipe and damagine the turbine wheel.
