5Zigen recently released an exhaust manifold set for the Z34. Looks amazing!

Material: Stainless steel (SUS436) Flange: Steel
Pipe diameter: 42.7-60.5mm
Pipe thickness: 1.5mm
Price: Looking into it right now... I expect around $2000.

That looks beautiful, but that pricing is like halfway to supercharger land and not even close to the HP capabilities. It definately is nice though, I would buy that just to use as a table center piece.

very pretty but you would still need to purchase either test pipes or HFC's to see gains, frankly I think long tube headers are the best option but I live in NY, people in Cali aren't so lucky.

before someone looks into getting this they should take a look at FI long tube headers. FI is proven to do a great job and work well with there customers. not saying the headers advertised above are bad, but if there $2,000 I advise ppl to look into the FI hearders before deciding. Or just other headers in general. only my opinion.

$2,000 definitely seems a bit high for minimal gains from headers. They look cool though. I can't wait to see them installed.

$2k for what, ~10whp and a piece that cannot be seen by most....i'll pass. But no doubt, its a work of art!

I would rather have smooth mandrel bends than a thousand pie cuts. It does look pretty unique though.

Exactly what I was thinking to myself.

I've always been under the impression that mandrel bent tubing flows better than Frankenstein assembled tubing? That the 'pie cut' method was the shade tree mechanic way of hacking/making your own headers & exhaust system. (There's an exhaust system that I recently came across on this forum that is manufactured the same way.)

It used to be that header manufacturers would brag about their 'mandrel bent' headers. Why have some manufactures gone back in time apparently?

Is there a real performance gain? Is it strictly for the appearance? Just a gimmick?

I saw these in a SEMA issue of one of the import mags a while back, but I didn't post anything because it was too early to find anything online.

If you get these air freight are they snakes on a plane?


I'm assuming the welds are due to them being titanium and you can't mandrel bend titanuim with those radii due to it's brittlness?? It only says the flanges are stainless, not the tubing. Possibly hence the pricing as well.

I thought that too, but then I re-read the OP and it says the material is stainless

It says the flanges are 'STEEL'.
For material it says 'Stainless Steel'.

Where does it say anything about Titanium being used? Am I missing something?

The high cost is probably due to paying someone to TIG weld all those segments together!
