For material it says 'Stainless Steel'.

Where does it say anything about Titanium being used? Am I missing something?

The high cost is probably due to paying someone to TIG weld all those segments together!

I never said Ti was being used, I said I'd assume it was because as others have menioned there is no point in cutting like that unless A: it's Ti or B: the bends are so tight it could not done on a mandrel bender. That with the wording

makes it a little confusing for me at least. They don't look so extreme that they would need that many welds IMO tho (for S/S). I do agree with you that either way a lot of the cost is the labor....

Maybe the OP can get clarification from 5Zigen.

These manifold are indeed stainless steel. 5zigen says that in order to get the best layout, the bends must be tighter than a machine can handle so they decided to design the header this way. These are special order only at the moment so production time is about 4 weeks.

370ZTune,

Thanks for the clarification.

It's interesting stuff.

BTW: Do you know what that Japanese writing says in the manifold pictures?

2k for 400 series stainless steel? No thanks.

Tried to have my guy translate it, but he's not Japanese so it's a little beyond his knowledge. He said it looks to just be a slogan but he can't make out the whole thing.

I'm going to resurrect this thread. Has any one actually used these headers and had them dynoed? They look absolutely beautiful?
