Hmm tempting! Send me some more info and if you got pics that is a plus. Any damage to the mufflers at all?

I have the FI CBE with ERZ HFCs and when I just had the FI CBE there was some drone but the sound was awesome and I got comments about it all the time. Then I put the ERZ HFCs on and the exhaust got louder and the drone got worse. Now I hear the some rattle from the HFCs and is bugging me so I will be taking them off and going back to stock cats. The FI CBE by itself sounds great and I can put up with the small amount of drone from it. I just think the ERZ cats are too thin and they dont hide the noise much but they do flow good so if you want every inch of power then they are good. So stock cats for me, I have to look closely at them to make sure they werent damaged when they were taken off.

Default I can help

Okay….I can possibly help. I still have my stock catalytic converters sitting in my garage if you want them (one bolt needs to be drilled out and replaced….it broke), or we can swap resonator sections on the exhausts (my FI with 18" CF resonators for your "noise makers"), swapping would be initially as a sound check …..if we like the results then we could trade? Just a couple ideas that would address your situation. Good luck!

Well I have been doing some research and I don't think we can do that. The setups are too different. See this pic here. My Y pipe is the same as stock. We would have to do a whole swap.

Yeah good picture and it tells the story. I still have my OEM catalytic converters if you need/want them. There is a bolt (the evil one) that broke while removing the lug, that needs to be removed. Should not be too difficult with a machine shop at your disposal.

But I had to mutilate one to remove it (demon bolt!) So now I am stuck with my HFC's and need to decide what to do. I am thinking I might just have to get the Stillen CBE and call it a day. I really don't want this kind of attention and any fix it tickets!

So my question is, what can be done to quiet it down some other than stock cats? Would resonators added to the mid pipes help?

As a side note this exhaust is top notch! Fit is 100% perfect and the quality is amazing! I really want to keep it but it's just too loud for my taste.
This may be a noob question but will it be less loud with out the ERZ HFC's? I'm interested in this exhaust but don't want a super loud exhaust that makes driving uncomfortable. How do you think it will sound with the HFC's?

It will be a little less loud yes, search YouTube for the GTHAUS video to see the difference.
