Just installed the tanabe axle back and y pipe

this is definitely a GROWN MAN'S exhaust set up

NO Rasp
NO Drone

it Kicks real exotic when your on it and dies down when you let go of the peddle:driving:

deep grumble without the " hey look at me im a ricer" scream

The tires screeching in the videos are louder than the exhaust. :ugh2:

is it just me or do all the Z exhaust without rasp and crap, like FI, Berk, Tanabe, Boom Shop, etc, all sound the same? this sounds exactly like the FI i have, which sounds like others too. this tanabe is definitely a good exhaust. the only warning i have is to watch for the packing material in the mufflers. i had a tanabe medallion on my integra and the packing degraded and would shoot out of the muffler, quickly turning the sound to shitt. i was going to get this exhaust, but at the time no sound clips were available, so i went FI, but at least i know i would have made a good choice. enjoy it!

damn son... running your teggy hard that the packing materials degraded?? lolol.. kidding.


I'm about to order these tanabe exhaust. I love tanabe exhaust had them on my other vehicles. It seems like tanabe is doing pretty good knowing some other JDM companies are going down the drain.

I would have to agree. The only different pitch pipes I've heard is the Meisterschaft and/or the Fujimura or SACLAM (which are practically insanely priced JDM pieces, however, very nicely crafted)....I opted for TP's and the stock NISMO.

yeah, the exhausts seem to sound really good, or really bad, not many in between really.

Yeahhhh go Soon, post Vids with Y pipe fly bys and take offs... I want to get the y pipe as well but need to save for it.

Wow... why is tanabe only having 5? Not enough orders?

Unfortunately all my vendors believe that the 370z is a very small market. That's why parts are very limited. I think most companies are trying to concentrate on the GTR. I am trying to push for more in stock items and more quantity for the 370z. I'll keep everyone updated.

Is that only 5 for every vendor in the US, or 5 just for Vivid Racing..

I ordered one thru a local shop, (no offense Phil) and haven't heard that.

I've got to believe there were more 370Z's than GTR's sold in the past 2 years right?

Just 5 coming in to the country. I am just repeating what Tanabe told me. In September they are expecting a "larger" shipment of these exhaust but they didnt tell me the amount.

I agree but this is what my Japanese vendors tell me. Thats why I made my Tomei exhaust thread to show Tomei that they should make a titanium exhaust for the 370. I will be posting more threads like this to hopefully bring in parts in quantity for the 370.

I heard the exchange rate right now is a lot... is that why companies having hard time to release products?

Definately a big market...especially when compared to a GTR...Not everyone can walk into a Nissan Dealership and buy a $90,000 + GTR.... I mean why would you when you can buy two to three 370's for the same price? :ughdance:

They arrived in the US on the 9th I believe.. And were sent out right after.

My local shop that I ordered mine from told me they just arrived a few hours ago. woot!

that's a pretty clean exhaust. any soud clips of your's while driving? I found two clips off their website off a dyno.
Tanabe USA Inc. - Medalion Touring Exhaust

Sounds great. Has anyone heard this together with Stillen's CBE in person to know how they compare in sound quality and volume? I'm undecided between them!
