JIC Y pipe or Stillen headers?
i can get my hands on a set of stillen headers and JIC y pipe.... i wanna buy both but which one 1st and why? another 500$ out the window :excited:
thanks guys. |
Y pipe cause its twenty min install and will do good with your CBE and you have a factory pea shooter to play with afterward
Have you already gone to HFC's or TP's yet? |
Also... I thought the Stillen headers didn't do much if anything?
|
Get the y-pipe to complete the exhaust system you have.
|
aright thanks guys! i was going with the y pipe

Some but Minimal from all accounts but then you can always tune to get the best from any add on, I think the hassle factor is considered not worth it, I had a new set but never installed them.

I got 0 gains from my Y-pipe but the sound change made it worth it. I did a same day dyno comparision with a baseline, OEM exhaust with HFCs, then HFC's and Tanabe Ypipe.
HFC's gave 11hp/tq across the band Y-pipe had almost the exact same curve. No losses but very minimal gains If I was to do it again, I'd still only do HFC's and a Y-pipe but would have done a cheaper y-pipe...like a Megan or JIC 350z pipe. The 370z Y-pipes are the exact same 06+ 350's |
well i dont need a y pipe anymore lol :D and that y pipe was 400$ shipped... i got the Megan full system for 200$
