Custom exhaust

Has anyone here made there own exhaust or just added mufflers? I've always been into v8's and I love SLP mufflers. I'm thinking of making a custom exhaust with SLP

Please move this to the exhaust/intake section. Thanks.

If SLPs are raspy on Mustangs I can't imagine what it would sound like on the Z... sure as heck couldn't be good!

I had them on my 3 mustangs and they were raspy when I had an h pipe. I never heard it with single catback alone. And my camaro was no where near raspy. But it was nowhere near stock either.....

I was going to go with the FI with no resonators and test pipes but I'm afraid of clearance issues when I lower my car.

Well, the Z is going to be a COMPLETELY different animal. I could see the SLPs being pretty raspy even only as a CBE. Then again the FI, no resonators, and TPs will be raspy themselves.

How much do you plan on lowering the car? You shouldn't really have any clearance issues with FI unless you are slammed.

I'm not sure about how much lowering yet. I want it extremely low and I saw a comment on a HKS thread about how the FI mufflers are at an angle instead of how the HKS ones are mounted straighter.
