There is the install album. Right now I only have the muffler section since the Y-pipe and mid-pipe are still en route (should be soon). The tubing is bigger at the muffler section, but the flanges fit just fine for now. My understanding is the Y-pipe has a specially designed collector that also modifies the sound. We'll see!

Are there other options besides the y-pipe? Also will you be posting up dyno's? It would be nice to see how much power this makes..

I ordered it through a local shop. PM me for details.

Right now I only have the muffler section, but, yes, there is a Y-pipe and mid-pipe as well to make it a full CBE.

I didn't dyno my car before the install so it would be tricky to base gains off of my results. I have HFC's on too. The most accurate numbers will come from someone going from stock intake & exhaust to having this full CBE on. When I'm doing the install of the Y-pipe and mid-pipe I will try to weigh everything though.

It's been my favorite exhaust for awhile, but the price is $$$$. I'm not sure how the aforementioned website sells it but if you go to the GTHaus website and purchase the muffler and the intermediate plumbing you're looking at close to $2000.

How much improvement was there with just the Berk HFC and the Nismo Exhaust?

Sounds like a great exhaust, but that exhaust has got a hefty price tag if it ain't gonna be like that with stock cats.

I do like the idea of Berk HFC on my Nismo though.

nismo42 07-12-2010 11:33 PM

will the y pipe work on the nismo?

Well I said F it! I decided to order this one for my car, no wait time on it, mine should ship the next few days!!!! :happydance: :bowrofl:

They told me about 7-10 HP for each three segments of the exausts. But I doubt we will see over 20whp on these. They did tell me this is very loud and one 370Z owner complained and said it was too loud. But I think you all knew that, that 370Z owner must not of seen the memo.

Nice! Finally someone else just pulled the trigger. I live in the Puget Sound area too (Seattle actually) so we'll be keeping this area noisy. Haha! Next time you're on the Viaduct going through the Battery Street Tunnel just gas it. The noise is awesome!

Berk HFC's. I kinda wish I had just went for the PPE long tube headers, but I'll just save my $ and spend it on a Quaife diff.

I saw your video. Was that just the muffler section? How is the sound with the full catback and HFC's? What is your take with local Law Enforcement and this exhaust? I'm a little concerned I might get pulled over a lot!

The video is of the Meisterschaft muffler section hooked up to the OEM Nismo H-pipe and mid-pipe with Berk HFC's in place of the stock cats. The full CBE setup won't be installed until late next week.

I haven't had any problems driving around. It only gets loud once you go beyond moderate throttle. Just pick your battles and know when to be discrete.

Any issues with the fitment to your Nismo exhaust? Any modifications needed?

The muffler section hooked up to the OEM Nismo H-pipe just fine. The OEM Nismo muffler has the same external shape as the standard muffler; the OEM Nismo and standard mid-pipes have the same configuration on the muffler end.

I only wound up with a hybrid configuration because the Meisterschaft Y-pipe and mid-pipe were out of stock when I originally ordered. Now I'm all set to go for the full CBE. :)
