Hmm now I'm tempted to buy only the Ypipe and build a custom single exit exhaust....

Yeah the ypipe made really good torque... but IMO I like the dual exhaust look - it flows aesthetically. If you go single exhaust just find a way to cover the other side so it looks factory...

No problem. I'm quite keen on your setup as its most likely going to be the same for me. I assume you still have the stock cats and air intake.

Is the performance gain really noticeable

Thanks.

Ufreefer, how did the exhaust sound change with the y-pipe added to the OEM catback and HF cats? Wondering if it made it sound better at all or different.

It sounds great. Definitely better then it did with the OEM ypipe with HFCs....deeper but at the same time it has a higher pitch race tone when under full throttle. It also reduced the rasp quite a bit.

The construction of the y-pipe is great, fitment it perfect, sounds great, but almost Zero performance gain in comparision to the OEM yipe. I did a 3 base dynos with OEM exhaust, then 3 dynos with the HFC's 2 hrs later (11hp & tq gain across the power band, then 3 dynos an hr later with the Tanabe Y-pipe. I got almost 0 gains from the y-pipe but didn't lose power anywhere either...basically 1-2hp midrange.

I'll take the car back to the dyno again down the road to see if I get more gains, since I only did 3 pulls for each setup.

Alll righty the vids are up in the first pageeeee... Take a look at them and let me know what you think. The exhaust sounds even better in person... a little quiet in the video by ill let you decide on that.

Stealth, I would order it, because you will not be disappointed, great for daily driving and if at the stage im at in life where i dont care for loudness then this is the one. And down the line if you want it to be louder just get resonated test pipes with a Y pipe then your golden.

Oh yeah the fitment is almost exactly like OEM but what pictures would you like, because I do not have a lift and take detailed pictures but i can try.
