If you mean the K&N filters, at some points in the rev range, it's greater (see dyno below -- that's with stock MAF tubes).

If you mean just the post MAF tubes, I'd be a bit skeptical too...

I stopped by at Cobb here in Austin and they told me they are getting away from naturally aspirated engines. They want to stick to turbos.

Just ordered the silicone intake hose from Corsport. I already have the K&N drop ins. Let's see, the K&N's give me about 6hp and the hose will give me another 6..... That's the way it works, doesn't it.

I will post some pictures when I get them installed. Actually I am doing this mainly for appearance. I think that the accordian hose looks pretty cheesy. If I get a few horses from it that will be great.

ricer math FTW! haha but i did this exact set up, it really makes the engine rev really smooth, and it feels a little more eager to pull in the higher RPMs, once the ecu adjusts they feel really good...i would venture to say this setup is good for about 5-8 ponies

i think the biggest difference you will feel is when you're just shy of the torque band and you punch the gas. where stock would bog i think you'll feel a more responsive pickup.

this is just speculation...but usually that's where the benefit is for shortrams with larger tubes imo. and they do look hells better than stock.

I don't think so. I'm eventually switching to a custom set up -- I've got a thread on it.
