I had a injen intake on my old g35 coupe sh_t!!!!
HI I JUST WANTED TO TELL YALL WHAT I FOUND FROM USING THOSE INTAKE SYSTEMS.THEY ARE NOT GOOD FROM CATCHING DIRT OR DUST FROM NORMAL DRIVING.I FOUND DIRT AND DUST WHEN I PULL MY STOCK PLENIUM TO CRAWFORD PLENIUM.I NOTICE DIRT AND BLACK STUFF AROUND THE LOWER PLENIUM AND SIDE WALLS ENTERING VALVES.FROM THAT DAY I WOULD NOT INSTALLED THOSE INTAKE SYSTEM ON MY CARS.INTAKE DOES GIVE HP BUT NOT SAVE FOR THE ENGINE.JUST MY THOUGHTS I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE.

home bound after work a couple days ago. I checked my filters and they also were wet on one side. Didn't worry about it cause I avoided two flooded areas and never got her in any deep water! They were dry the next day!

Yeah... you need TONS of water to hydrolock... any small amounts of water are evaporated before any damage is done. Maybe this hot engine isn't so bad after all... lol

your fine. i nearly hydrolocked my scion tc and the water was about 4 inches deep but the car was also on tien S techs. you will know if your in troble. your car will put and sound like its drowning and white smoke comes out the exaust, alot of it. your ok, if you havent noticed anything until you seen water there youll be fine id just check it every now and then to remove the water so theres no risk of damaging your MAF (mass airflow sensor) i will never do CAI again after the scion incident. CAI is just not worth the risk to me. good luck
