Driving around with the Z I love to do quick accelerations to hear the exhaust note.
I'm thinking to add FI resonated test pipes, from their website there shouldn't be a CEL and since they are resonated there shouldn't be too much rasp either. The HFC system is a little too expensive at 1200. I'm thinking instaling myself, once I get past those 4 bolts shouldn't be too bad. Anybody have a similar config or advice? |

I have the FI CBE and the ERZ HFC ($270) and the HFCs added some rasp to the note but not too much. I just hope they dont get worse as the get older or I will go back to stock cats. The FI CBE sounded hot even without the HFCs.

@Zsteve
I think you got rasp because you went with ERZ HFC, usually the sound normalizes over time, so if its too raspy after a while it will only be slightly raspy. I'm worried about that with purchasing Test Pipes, which is why I was thinking about the resonated ones ( for smell and rasp purposes). |

Check my mods. The combination is very nice IMO. There is a little buzz from the 13" CF resonators but not too bad. Also hissing from the resonated test pipes but I like the sound. The gains and weight savings compared to OEM are very noticeable and I would recommend the combination.
