If Z1 sells them and you want a black finish, I'm sure it will be available at a reasonable cost. They have a great powdercoater

From looking at it you can see the advantage from fitting this with an FI kit and getting a tune specifically for it.
GB for sure, 1K not too bad for a custom intake manifold, but at sub 1K it would be a lot more interesting, lets see the untuned and tuned dyno sheets on the Z in stock and bolt on format.
Does Kintex plan to produce a thermal spacer to sit under it? that would be a nice and cheap extra touch.
Looks a perfect piece for 6 individual meth nozzles also .. slurp

Black option for me if they do it.

I still don't buy that. If you research the material used to make the factory manifold (manufactured by Dupont) it is also used in plenty of other manufactures forced induction cars.

That isn't to say that there won't be a benefit of an intake manifold change for forced induction cars, but i don't think 4.5 psi is going to cause the stock intake manifold to explode. Otherwise GTM, GReddy, and AAM would all have some issues with their respective turbo kits.

When asked about torque gains.

"Minimal on our test car (2009 370Z) honestly the power gains on an NA application are not there. We are working with Kinetix on a revised runner length and design to see if anything more can be gained. We hope to know more once we're able to test on an HR 350Z."

"We tuned it in house with Osiris, but as I stated earlier the NA power gains were minimal, not a lot of use in posting dyno charts that don't really show any thing of value at this point. Keep in mind that the unit on our 370Z is a prototype that we bought from Kinetix for testing purposes before making a large investment in a stock order."

Posted from Z1 on the 350Z forums, hopefully they will take Z1's advice on runner length and what not, but this may go the route of the first one. Hopefully Kinetix takes Z1's input instead of just mass producing as is otherwise this will just be another (very pretty, great sounding) engine bling item.

I would agree that it can take more than that if I remember Christian with his TT G37 now has about 10-15k boosted miles on his car running anywhere from 6-8psi with no plenum damage.

Though the SS manifold is pretty and sounds great it also cooled a lot faster than the old cast manifold on my 350z, though the new plastic composite manifolds on the 35HR and 37VHR may have already taken care of that piece as well.

Really? who??

I think this would look badass with the "tanks" powdered to your choice, while leaving the runners polished

So after reading the whole thread it looks like this will add little to no advantage to an N/A setup. It won't work with the stillen supercharger because that uses a custom manifold.

I don't see how it would really benefit you if you used the GTM S/C or TT setup. Frankly the limiting factor will be the pistons and rods, remember we're already running 11:1 compression (I might be wrong but not by much).

If it was me I'd wait till I built the rest of the block before I added this piece, the plastic plenum looks like sh!t but I've been told by Vinny Ten Racing on LI who knows Z's that it's pretty reliable and durable.

Unless it was designed with a flow bench its unlikely to do much more than look shiny and add weight...

Other than that, runner length will just move peak torque either up (shorter) or down (longer) in the RPM range. Bigger diameter may or may not help N/A -- again these things should really be designed with a flow bench.
