You should have no Problems with H&R springs and the Fi system.
On a side note I'm having some issues of my own. What are other guys doing that are slammed to the ground? I'm on BC BR coilovers and I'm slammed. The problem I'm running into is, where my AAM short tails bolt onto the stock exhaust that bends under the rear end, it bottoms out like crazy. If I hit the smallest bumps, crown on the road, ect, its a spark show. Its really the only thing that scrapes bad. ( other than the front plastic things, those drag on everything but that's a given ). Sometimes I hit frame on really bad roads but that's rare and kinda a given for as low as the car is and living in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Has anyone else ran into this? What was your solution? Only thing I can think of is making a custom exhaust that goes out and around / though the gap next to the sides of the rear end to get the exhaust up higher. If anyone else has an idea it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Ya, I am wondering since I'm using the AAM short tails, which uses the stock exhaust from the Cats back to where they connect right after the rear, that's why I'm scrapping. The only part that is scrapping is the stock section that bends down and connects to the short tails. On other full cat back systems is the bend not as far down keeping them up higher than stock at that location? Or do people that are really slammed have to rework their exhaust and go out and around the rear end or something to that nature. I'm sure the guys on bags have to hit at that point when they drop. On my car it is the lowest point on the car to the ground. Just trying to get an idea. It will be getting cold here soon so it will be in the air for the winter while I figure something out. I want keep It as low as it is now without the exhaust issue.

Just take your car to a muffler shop and have them custom weld in new piping from the cats back? Or if you don't want to spend the money for all new 2.5 piping from the cats back, just replace the part where it dips down and then bolt the short tails back on.
Take a picture or two so we know what you are talking about --

Yeah, I'll try to lay under there and get one tonight when I get off work. I'm sure others have had the same issue that are really dropped. I cant see how they wouldn't. I can't really take it to a muffler shop. At least one that I know I can get on their lifts. I have to use boards I made, and drive up on them in order to get a jack even under anywhere on the car. Most likely I'll end up just doing the exhaust myself. My father and uncle have a lift that has a long extended ramp I can get on. They drag race and have two really low chassis cars and its what they use. Would be nice to see something someone else figured out as an idea so I know what has already worked.
