Question for all G3 Intake Owners

I'm curious whether anyone that has the G3 has shared my experience. I wouldn't call it a problem, as much as I would a "characteristic", but it makes me curious

Default Question for all G3 Intake Owners

I'm curious whether anyone that has the G3 has shared my experience. I wouldn't call it a problem, as much as I would a "characteristic", but it makes me curious nonetheless.

I've found that most of the time when I'm at WOT >5.5k RPMs, the intake really "sings" and resonates with the rest of the cabin in an amazingly sweet and aggressive manner. It's a great sound and it's something that makes me look forward to red lights so I can run through the first couple of gears hearing the intake sing all over again.

Maybe about 10 or 15% of the time however, I notice that I'm not getting that same sound. It's a little flat and muted. The low frequencies that usually resonate with the cabin aren't as prominent. Not dramatically different, but still very noticeable to someone that's listening for it. It's still a nice sound coming from the engine, and I'm not saying that there's anything that makes me think there's a problem that I need to be concerned with, it's just that sometimes that normal growl I get from the intake isn't there like it is most of the time. Even just today...on my way out to the Mets game the intake wasn't giving me that distinct sound I love. On the way back however, it sounded as great as it ever has. Very strange...

I've been trying to figure out if maybe temperature, humidity, or anything else might have something to do with it, but I haven't yet been able to figure out what might be causing the difference in sound.

So...I thought I'd just throw it out there and see if any other G3 owners have noticed the same thing I have. Thanks in advance for your responses.
