Hello Matt,

We do have a manifold in the works for the 370Z and G37. It should be available within a few weeks.

Thanks,

Jason

Looks like we may have another addition to a naturally aspirated 370z. :D

Dreamer, hate to burst your bubble, but they told me the same thing months ago. I wonder what's going on?

theDreamer 04-29-2010 02:32 PM

Hmmmm, well I will bug them in two weeks and call them out then, but this is the first I have contacted them and gotten and answer back.

SE 04-29-2010 05:05 PM

Interesting...but I hope it looks good. The last K manifold for the 350Z didn't look too enticing.

Zsteve 04-29-2010 05:50 PM

what will the manifold do for us? And what do they usually run?

shabarivas 04-29-2010 06:11 PM

bling bling + some breathing (doubt it will help all that much) + a LOT!!!

Not unless you go FI. Their stuff for N/A is typically useless as far as performance goes.

The original plenum up to the v+ upper plenum they had for the vq35s all were solid products, and even though some products were known to fail they always fixed the design and replaced the old ones for customers.

I was one of the first to buy their test pipe/plenum combo when it came out. And when they changed the design I emailed them and said I am a satisfied customer and even though my plenum was lasting I would be interested in the new design with a stronger design. With no hesitation who ever i was speaking to said they were going to go ahead and send me the new one in the mail.

And the resonated test pipes cracked at the resonator welds after about 20k miles, called and they sent me new test pipes at my request. All I had to do was send them pictures. Didn't ask for the old products back either. Their customer service was top notch IMO. I would be glad to give them business if they make a manifold that proves to provide gains.

Their ssv mani or whatever it was I think was a failure but their upper plenum was good. Since the HR no spacers or plenum's have been around, but when I look at our plastic plenum I always think to myself that some company has got to make a better upper intake plenum.

One time I saw a mag with a gtr plenum or manifold on a turbo 370. I wonder if just the OEM gtr plenum is inter changeable.. I'm sure it flows better than ours.

There website: Kinetix Racing - Performance Upgrades for your Nissan 350z and Infiniti G35
One of their designs:

chuckd05 05-01-2010 08:36 PM

that manifold was not nearly as popular as the basic plenum replacement they put out... it simply replaced the upper plenum on the vq35 with a free flowing design.. made good gains.

Zsteve 05-01-2010 09:25 PM

really? 30 hp? wheel or engine?

go look at the dynos on their site, it was a 30whp gain up top. Basically stopped the 350 from falling on its face in the upper RPM's

DIGItonium 05-02-2010 11:28 AM

Offtopic... but I'll take a GT-R intake manifold. That'll be a sweet mod... not quite sure how the openings will fit.

STi 5 05-02-2010 12:00 PM

How awesome would that be if it fit, I think it would have to be better than our stock manifold. Somebody with more money than I needs to try this out so I can lust after more parts that go on the car!

oro 05-02-2010 03:23 PM

The SSV was considered a huge failure on the 350z boards. It produced similar gains to a plenum spacer and that was about it. The overinflated dyno numbers were never confirmed especially on an NA car.

They were contacted about making a new version a few years ago when the HR was introduced they were told then, "It would be finished in a few weeks" wouldn't get your hopes up guys.

so that was on the 350 but do we know what it will do for the 370? Nissan may have improved the stock intake mannifold on the 370 like they did with the plenum.

westpak 05-29-2010 08:30 AM

looks like something is definitely in the works, spotted this pic

I wonder if anyone from Z1 can comment on this picture? Details?

FuszNissan 05-29-2010 08:38 PM

I know Z1 is getting an updated version from Kinetix. So we shall see if the second version will be the final. :excited:

NewYorkJon34 05-29-2010 09:01 PM

I remember Kinetix had a thread awhile back about this intake manifold, but alot of people thought it was never going to come out. I was pretty suprised seeing that picture and am glad to see it'll be released soon. Plus I respect Z1, so seeing them with the first Kinetix intake manifold really has sparked my interest.

Nismo370 05-29-2010 09:51 PM

Damn that is sexy...i hope it makes some power man...

u155282 05-29-2010 10:06 PM

It really does look nice. I hope they make it too.

Caravanshaka 05-30-2010 02:18 PM

If the price isn't over the top ill pick one up, even If the gains aren't huge it looks a hell of a lot better than stock

esfourteen 05-31-2010 11:23 AM

that is quite the baller engine bay piece, if the gains are there I am in =D

FuszNissan 05-31-2010 11:26 AM

It made great power for the 350

phelan 05-31-2010 12:01 PM

oh wow do want, even with minimal gains hahaha

Kastley85891 05-31-2010 12:32 PM

Interesting, wonder how many benji's

nogoodname 05-31-2010 12:57 PM

Not to mention the exhaust tone this will make will be awesome...

G37Sam 05-31-2010 04:40 PM

In for updates.. just when you thought the factory manifold was good enough already

chuckd05 05-31-2010 05:06 PM

My guess is around 800-900 about the price of the SSV for the 350... Kinetix stuff is nomally reasonably priced and from my experience have good customer service as well

Im in for one as well

NewYorkJon34 05-31-2010 05:15 PM

The intake manifold looks sick, but who knows how much power it'll add. Plus I was planning on going with the Stillen S/C, so its a bumer that I prob won't be able to get both.
