Follow K&N's cleaning instructions and they'll come back just like new and last forever. You don't need to change them unless you damage them. Throwing away Re-useable filters is both wasteful, stupid and bad for the environment to say nothing of what it does to your wallet. I've brought K&N's back from the dead to look and perform like new..
Both? Tri! LOL

Well to be completely honest with you, I just came from probably the dirtiest environment in the states, except maybe death valley or Barstow El Paso, TX is basically the desert, and the dirt is evident everywhere you go, in the air, on the streets, in the rain, the list goes on. I normally wouldnt change them until I have at least 15k on them, but due to circumstances, figured it would be best.

Zsteve, when I took them off, the underside was a little brown and a few dead bugs here and there, probably could have gotten a bit more out of them, but to be on the safe side, just said screw it and put new ones on.

And to the others, I understand that its wasteful to throw perfectly good filters away, however, im home on leave and being that my car is my only means of transportation, and had to be at a bbq later on that night (no time to let the filters dry), I just bought new ones.

Always a good idea, no matter what system you have, to have two sets of filters...

Agreed on second set

you know you loaded man. Get that SC now. I finally got my stop loss money from the Army and after I get my house here in TX I will have to look at the SCs again. Im just worried about a shop doing the install and not having any experience with the kits. Dont want a YOU KNOW WHO happening to my car.

Hey what is the name of that shop that was offering the TT setup? I want to see if they will do a reduced labor cost for some advertising.

i'm not 100% sure, probably Speedfactory, give Dan a call, hes the one who told me about it. If you must go to Speedfactory, make sure you speak to a guy named Rich personally over the phone and make sure NONE of his students touch your car, if he does the work personally, then its all good, he knows his stuff and ASE certifies students at Western Tech. Other than that, i wouldnt trust ANYONE in EP with my Z. I keep hearing that theres a performance shop in Las Cruces that does excellent builds and specializes in Z cars, although its only hearsay.
