Honestly...I say give credit where credit is due. He most likely knew he was going to get flamed for posting this, but he did it anyway. And quite frankly, I think we can all agree that his car sounds terrific. The fact that he was able to achieve a $1500 sound for $20 means he deserves some kudos, in my opinion.
Hell...I'll even confess that I'm seriously considering trying this "mod" out myself! Is it a ghetto mod? Sure...I guess you could say so. But no one needs to know except me!

I'm just giving you hell over the "see the washers?" I thought that was pretty funny.

Oh and btw craniac24, don't try it unless your system is stock. Phimosis tried it... and this is what it sounds like with a Stillen exhaust. Oh hahaha! Well, as a fellow noob helping another noob out. These bold letterings and arrow marks really help us a lot!

Actually my dad has been awesome, instead of buying me a new car he's helped me tremendously in working on my older ones. Largely in part to him I am able to turn a wrench on my own car instead of paying people to do stuff, i.e. turning 4 bolts and inserting washers :P. Back on topic, do you think you can take another pic? I can't really see what the shop did there |

Thanks OP for taking your time and took those pictures !! Is it gonna do any damage in the long run having a gap there??
I would love to make my exhaust sound a bit louder too and don't really need power gain since 332hp is enough for me. BTW - where do I get those spacers ? sorry I just wanna make sure I buy the right parts !! Last edited by tonybui; 04-27-2010 at 11:18 PM. |
