That's a good question. I think the answer to your question depends on jurisdiction. I know in GA, or at least metro-Atlanta, cops seldom concern themselves with emissions-related stuff. They leave that to the emissions inspection folks. Also, I ran test pipes on my 350 and it too stank to whoever was following. It was never a problem. I never got pulled over for it. Heck, I even passed emissions with flying colors!

Has anyone from other states ever heard of people getting nailed by cops on account of their exhaust smelling bad?

Really depends on the area. I know up here if a cop smelled my exhaust with LTH's I'd certainly be pulled over.

yeah, I guess it all depends on if a cop has better s**t to do. Me?, I'd have to pull the "military card" if I got pulled. I'm just a lil concerned about riding round Minneapolis or Milwaukee area with this setup. I'm moving to WI this weekend. I don't know the area as well as Charlotte and I'm wondering if I messed up and should be going with TOny's HFC's instead of LTH.

I'm going to quit buggin out about the emission smell and deal with it. Hopefully the smell isn't as bad with the FI CBE w/18'' resonators as apposed to the stillen CBE combo

It is not that bad. Contact Kolya, he will give you a good assessment of how it is. He has had the headers and exhaust for some time now.

The smell is not that bad.. Im pretty sure its identical to the test pipes which i have.. But let me tell you that every girl that has been in the car for a ride has either complained/commented on the smell. So expect to drive with the windows up while a female is present...
