Like others have said... F.I was on the scene at the right place at the right time. Stillen was the first "must-have" exhaust on the scene, but there were countless fitment issues amongst other things. Berk was the next must have but as we have seen, they were too late to get their exhaust out and once people started receiving them, they arrived with fitment issues or received the wrong parts. Total fail. But F.I was there in the middle of the Stillen and Berk fiasco with a top notch product at a resonable price and kick *** customer service. How could they NOT be popular.
I still to this day love the way the Stillen exhaust sounds but F.I just wins on so many levels. This is all my opinion but I think others feel the same. It looks the best, sounds the best, shows the best gains, never had a fitment issue yet, great customer service, and on and on and on.

I'm a newbie to Zs in general and haven't heard of F.I. before so when I was looking for an exhaust to get I looked at all the ones out there. The sound clip videos aren't really good indicators of how these things sound so you can't really go by that. Sound is also very subjective. What wasn't subjective though was the quality and all the satisfied customers. The price is also very affordable compared to others out there. I can't see myself spending over $2k just for an exhaust so that factored into it.
Good price, good quality, good sound, good gains... no surprise why it's so popular. And carbon fiber might seem tacky to some but in this case it's actually functional with weight savings. It's also an option so it's not like you have to get it if you don't want it.

Nope...As I personally don't care for the CF and would rather go with the SS canisters when it comes down to an FI exhaust...But that's just me...This is another plus to FI for having this option which could be another explaination as to why they are so popular and successful...
I have a few friends that are Carbon Fiber freaks...and must have anything and everything that is Carbon Fiber....Having this as an option opens the gates for FI to touch bases with those who love the Carbon Fiber look....FI is the only ones that I have seen and know of so far that have CF as an option...From a sales point, it makes a lot of sense...The more options the more vast amount of customers you attract...This also applies to other parts of their exhaust parts...12" vs 18" Resonated Vs. Non Resonated etc. etc....Since buying an exhaust has a lot to do with preference, FI has the most options

I ordered my FI exhaust for a few reasons.
1. I saw the dyno sheets and vids. (peeked my interest) 2. It had all positive and no negative feedback from these forums. 3. I actually find the look of the angled canisters to be very sexy. 4. When I called, Tony provided excellent customer service. He really cares about his customers. For me, it was a no brainer. I actually think the CF looks good on a few select colors. It's not for my car but if I had one of the colors I thought it looked good on I would consider it. |

Just curious, but what colors do you think the CF ones look good on? I'm not a big fan of the CF look, but I thought it would compliment the PG color well, so I chose that option.

Funny how the topic/thread started (xbigb4ller69z) never chimed in after his/her initial and only post.
