Stillen catback slip joints.
I just finished installing my Stillen catback. When I checked for leaks, everything looked good, but I noticed that there was some water leaking from one of the slip joints. Didn't feel any air though. I tried adjusting the u bolt clamp but nothing worked to stop the leaking water. Is this normal?

I just had the guy weld mine on, in my head i kind of figured they were put there to make shipping easier. So I have mine clamped and welded now...
no leaks...

Funny you mention the water. I was looking for leaks one day recently as I thought the hiss was louder than usual. When I looked under the car, there was some water leaking from the forward slip joint on the driver's side. Significance? Dunno.
I too may just get it welded at some point.

Another question. After I got the stock catback removed, I decided to drive the car up on ramps. I only had the header and stock cats connected. Starting the car and putting it up on the ramps without a cat back on wouldn't damage anything right?

^^hehe!
I saw a water drop on my new floor tiles the other day and thought, wtf... so I looked and there was a drop of water at the passenger front downpipe-xpipe connection. Kinda odd.

how water is coming out of the exhaust, I have no clue, unless your AC compressors condensation is leaking onto the exhaust, no problem with my clamps whatsoever, if you're afraid of an air leak, torque them down tighter.

then I suggest option 2, get it up on a lift and torque them down tighter.
