CBE worth the money if you already have HFC's?
I've been doing alot of reading and research and the consensus seems to be:
The first exhaust mod you do will result the most gains, and then thereafter the exhaust mods will only net a few more hp If the first exhaust mod whether it be HFC's or CBE will result in the biggest gain, and assuming you don't care about asthetics, is it worth even installing the CBE on after the HFC's? I know it's worth it to some, who have money burning in their pockets but if HFC's will give you 15-18hp for $330, is a $1500 CBE worth it for 5 more HP when the HFC's on a stock exhaust sounds pretty good and is quieter then HFC's with CBE? I know there will be varying opinions but wanted to get people's thoughts. |

I'd say if you're not doing it for aesthetics then not right now I would probably put that 1k towards a different mod such as a better LSD, sways, coilovers, oil cooler for sure !

He's talking about the performance of it all. The first exhaust mod you do is proven to show the vast majority of gain you're goin to have with hfcs probably giving you a bit more tq than just a catback but not quite the top end that a solid x pipe has shown especially with fast intentions. Obviously its going to sound more aggressive after switching out the catback also but if you're talking about performance which is what I'm looking for, hfcs and a tune is the best money/power ratio period. Hopefully aam will get back to me and several others about what's the deal with their cobb ap map deal. If you could get 30 whp with those mods I'm calling it a day.

Seriously, the comment above says it all, it will outlast the OEM exhaust, in fact the stainless steel will outlast the rest of the vehicle.

25-30 sounds a bit optimistic.
