Stillen G3 by far if you are looking for gains. Stillen and injen are the 2 top intakes since they are truly cold air intakes

stock is not bad if you free up the rest of the exhaust since the long tubes may cause you to lean out too much.
however, if you plan on doing a tune, adding the longtubes will add HP once the A/F ratio is corrected

For the price of buying a new intake plus doing a dyno tune because most aftermarket intakes cause your car to run too lean, one might as well keep the stock intake, put some drop ins and do the DIY fresh air ducting for $120. That will produce the most gains, no need for a dyno tune and the cheapest way to go.

You can do ModShacks tubing, or just buy the Cobb Tunning post MAF replacement hoses. A little pricey, yes, but fitment is pretty good, and they look nice.

I'm still trying to figure out how stock intakes are the best option, being that individual dyno tests on cars already with hfc's/cbe's are still picking up 12-18whp with the G3's...
Please dont make judgement based on one guys opinion on how the stock intakes are the best option, there are plenty of independent dyno tests with proven gains. So far the G3's make the most power while the Injens are an option without having to cut into the radiator support, much easier install. Just a sidenote, i did some datalogging 2 nights ago, at 60mph in 6th gear, my inlet temps were 3 degrees above ambient, I think Zsteve did some logging himself and found that inlet temps were 6-8 over ambient with stock intakes/k&n drop ins, not really a big deal but there is a difference.

I've seen dyno tests (on actual paper in real life not what a company posted to promote their product) that the stillen g3 produces negative horse power over stock. I think that is because the g3 filters are not in an ideal spot. It's directly behind the fender where air does not naturally flow plus the curves from the tubing do not look too efficient. I'm no scientist or engineer but that's just my opinion.

can you do me a favor and toss out a link or two? im also led to believe that the ones you might have seen were the G2's, those actually lost power much like the Takedas/JWT SR intakes. I havent dyno'ed mine but like i said, cruising at 60mph in 6th gear, my inlet temps average between 3-5 degrees over ambient, a few degrees cooler than the stock intake temps, dont see how there can be a loss in power when the air is cooler.
