Hey guys,

A few posts back someone asked for dyno results from berk. There were some posted in this thread.

http://www.the370z.com/exhaust-intak...k-exhaust.html

There is no complete stock baseline though. baseline is done with HFC and then exhaust is added.

Matt,

When you are ready for the headers, do not hesitate to call me directly...

Thanks, Tony

Hey, you like what you like. No one can fault you for that! I am glad to see that you are still satisfied with our exhaust...

Thanks, Tony

Hey Tony, I bumped into another local who just put your exhaust on his 370Z. We both were doing dynos at the same location! His name is Alan, posts here as Shawnal.

So...regarding tone/volume...I agree with you, the FI has a 'deeper' tone. especially considering the massive CF cans he has. Both exhausts' volume were about the same. Both sound awesome according to others at the shop. You like what you like! The tips look sweet, although one of his tips sticks out from the bumper more than the other :icon14:. Of course my Berk is misaligned left-right as well

Dyno runs came out pretty close, he also has Injen LT intakes and his numbers came out about 5HP higher than mine. We both run stock cats.

:tiphat:

Yeah,

He told me that he ran into someone there and now I know who it is. He did a dyno run the day before without the intakes and made the same peak power. He told me that the dyno after the intakes were installed showed a loss in the mid range. I told him not to be too quick to jump the gun. Put a good 200 miles on the car and then go back and do another dyno test. At that point if his gains are no different then we know what the intakes are only good for!

As far as the sound, thank you for commenting because it is nice to hear an actual Berk exhaust system owner back up my statement. My statement being that my exhaust (FI) is deeper. Anyways, enjoy your exhaust and do not hesitate to ask if you ever need anything...

Thanks, Tony

He should be able to adjust that no problem, the fit is about perfect so he can get it inline.

I have the cf mufflers and 12" resonators. The "drone" at the rpms people refer to sounds smooth and deep, in no way annoying or a bad thing imo. Guess people aren't used to an exhaust that sounds like it means business. Never had a passenger that complained for the record either.

But I would say the best thing about the sound is when shifting gears. You hit it just right and get that burbling sound in between shifts.......pure sex!

Berks were on my list when shopping, they just took too long to get in the game and my patience to replace the horrid stock exhaust was getting the better of me. Good thing F.I. was around!

I do like the Berks sound too, just not quite as aggressive for my taste. But everybody is different. In the end it all depends on what sounds best to you, and which setup you prefer.

Deeper but not better. I love my Berk's sound. And it's stealth factor. :stirthepot:

I went with Agency power because it had the optional silencers when they are out its loud but hardly any drone and the sound is mean when the silencers are in its deep and there's no drone at all and its more tame, perfect for long trips

I was sorta worried in the week or two prior to ordering my FI TDX CBE. But after reading every review and excessive thread stalking I decided the drone issue was way blown out of proportion. It seemed people wanted their cake and to eat it too. u know? i want 18+ HP and I also want my car silent on the highway, and I also want my car to sound exotic and too weak, but I want it to sound like a V8. hey guess what? If you want your car to have more "balls" then the crap stock setup, then you better make sure you have a set as well. Maybe you should have modded out a Honda Accord since the Z is just too loud for you. V-TECH!!!!! hahahaha. I know I'm gonna catch some heat on this one, especially since I have yet to hear the exhaust in person. OHHH my... did I just reveal that? Oh well, like I tell my girlfriend, at least I'm honest baby...and u like it...:stirthepot:
