Is this sticky still alive? Should I post my exhaust? I have resonated test pipes and a muffler delete. Didn't see the need to spend all the money on exhaust

Is this sticky still alive? Should I post my exhaust? I have resonated test pipes and a muffler delete. Didn't see the need to spend all the money on exhaust work as I have LOVED my exhaust. Except I'm looking into installing an ECV so my startups stop making my neighbors mad.

Motordyne Art Pipes and Shockwave Exhaust
I thought I would post my setup on the exhaust system that is on my Z, Lord knows how hard it can be when trying to make the final decision. Here is a link were you can hear this combination that I eventually chose. Hope this helps.

V1H, do you have some video clips of your car? I would love to see it in action. I am thinking about going single turbo, and was wondering how the Motordyne sounds on a turbo setup.

Hello everyone. Thought this would be a good place to share my exhaust setup.
Fast Intentions long tube headers Fast Intentions TDX catback exhaust, full straight-pipe. FI refuses to sell their exhaust without mufflers so I ordered their prototype 10-inch muffler option (over standard 14-inch) and absolutely hated it. It sounded like a Civic. So I ran open headers for about 7 months (long tubes + throwdowns) which was awesome. I finally took my exhaust to my favorite shop and their fabricator replaced the mufflers with straight pipes. Absolutely loving the new setup. Here's a video. Recorded on my phone so the sound doesn't have the amazing tone as real life does. Grey Z is mine, the black one is owned by a friend Cost is $2500 + ~$200 for the modification

I'm surprised you don't like the FI exhaust. I just installed mine last weekend but maybe you're not liking it because you're running the long tube headers instead of the stock cats. Did you get yours with resonators? Sounds like no

HKS Hi-Power Exhaust Sound Clip
Thought I'd share my HKS exhaust with stock cats and intake.
I also had the J2 Engineering axle back on it from the previous owner. There's a sound clip in the beginning for those that are curious. |
