P0603 Service Engine Soon Code

I just finished installing my Berk CBE today and I got a code after like the 6th start. I kept disconnecting and reconnecting the battery due to thinking I was gonna do my hfc's at the same time. I was seeing how it sounded with certain parts off. (just for kicks) anyways I went to autozone and they told me it's an ECM code. there's a tsb for it. And I need a shop that has this machine so I can reset that code. The tsb says that the code could get thrown due to many battery disconnections. Here's the tsb. http://www.the370z.com/attachments/3...he370z_com.pdf Anyone know where I can get this done in the NYC area? And no I'm not trying the dealership. Takes forever just to get an appointment anyways.

Doesnt the accelerator reset for the ECU work with this code?? I reset me CEL like 100 times when I was getting it lol

Oh wait is this an SES light or CEL light?

radio5boro 03-18-2010 11:22 PM

the ses light. and yeah i read up on the manual reset with the accelerator im gonna try it in a couple.

I have used this method a few times - timing is critical or it will not work.

ECU Resetting Procedures

Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON.

Operations Procedures

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” (without starting engine) and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 second.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.
If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU

If you repeat the above steps 6 times and it still doesn't work, eat a bowl of Cheerios and start at the beginning.

I find a bowl of "Lucky Charms" works better.

i just finished doing the Manual Reset of the ECU. took me about 7 tries. it cleared the code. hopefully it doesnt come back. but damn that reset is truly critical with the timing lol.

Im really raising this thread from the dead, but I had this code trip on me this week as I was messing with my air cup system and kept disconnecting the battery. However with my situation I was driving it today and the car began to stutter during acceleration. Very similar to my situation last year when I was getting code P0300. Does anyone know if this issue would result in misfires? As an FYI I had the codes checked today and P0300 did not trip.

Anyone?
