Anyone got a Scorpion exhaust?

I'm looking at a Scorpian exhaust and wondered if any other owners have them fitted and what they're like. Cheers, Paul. Storm White 370Z GT

Figures, the British guy comes and asks about a British-made exhaust...XD

Nissan 370Z Scorpion Exhausts

Quote:
The latest super-coupe from Nissan ticks all the boxes in terms of aesthetics and chassis dynamics, but several road testers have commented that the car could do with a little more ‘go’ and perhaps a touch more volume on the soundtrack. Addressing both these issues, our new system is entirely hand fabricated here in the UK from T304 Aerospace grade stainless steel. Using an optimum 57mm diameter tube to balance maximum flow with the perfect amount of back pressure, the latest system adds a superb new voice to the capable V6 motor, with a crisp ‘bark’ that sounds fantastic under load without intruding into the cabin under normal cruising or motorway driving.

In-keeping with Scorpion’s numerous OEM credentials, the tailpipes continue the ‘factory’ look being finished with dual 100mm ‘Tuner’ end trims.

As important as visual and aural improvements are, the real gains come in the performance department, where during independent dyno testing, an otherwise stock 370 gained nearly 8 bhp and 9 ft lb of torque by the addition of the exhaust alone.

..Wow, that exhaust looks stock. Not exactly my cup of tea, but hey, your call.

Yup, Scorpion are a UK company so wont see any over here. A member on 370z-UK was actually the test mule for the developement, I assume thats you asking the same question over there? Contact Mitz (CS) over there if you have questions. Compared to the US aftermarket exhuasts its quite boring -very much like stock in terms of sound and looks

First thing I thought and it appears from the company logo to be pretty similar if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the answers. I've seen pictures and read about them but I was after someone who may have bought one and running it on their 370Z. Much better to get a view from an owner than a sales pitch from the makers or reseller.

There's a single clip on youtube YouTube - 370z exhaust sound which certainly doesn't sound stock to me and the Scorpion is about half the price of Stillen/Berk over here.

As for asking about British made exhaust, there's people on here who aren't from the US and also people who have parts imported through overseas resellers and personal exports so thought it was a reasonable question.

Cheers guys.

hi mate, i am the owner of the black 370z on scorpion thread, so i have the system on my car and i am more than happy with it, it does increase power and performance a bit, but the main improvement is the superb sound my car has now, it really does sound like a highly tuned sports car now and you would not be disappointed if you purchased one, hope this helps with your decision, thanks kev

My point was that the exhaust was made in the UK by a UK company for most of the chaps over in the US, its a very tame exhuast that they havent heard about.

You also obviously have never spoken to Mitz if you think he will give you reseller sales pitch, just offer you sounds advise, the only reason he got Scorpion involved was to offer UK owners a viable alternative to importing an exhuast

But I'm sure Kev can answer all your questions as he is the owner of the system so knows better than us.
