A knock off of the FI with the tubes and then just a pipe and resonator. Its not as good as others as its not a dual exhaust.

It only has a single mid pipe.... perhaps this is for a 350z (they have a single mid pipe right) or the seller is a total tool and doesnt know that product he is selling... I would put it past ebay for tool senario.

Uh...stock 370Z has a Y-pipe too...

A lot of JDM companies (MCR, Amuse, Sunline, to name a few), have Y-pipes that obviously go to a single mid-pipe. I don't see what's wrong with the setup. With that said, yes it looks like a F.I. knockoff, I'd get the true thing if you're in the market for an exhaust.

Anybody with technical knowhow of exhausts care to explain why dual is so infinitely superior?

It isn't. Providing proper pipe diameters are used, there is no performance difference between a single or dual exhaust. We've been over this before.

Well that's a good way to make a Z sound like a riced-out Civic.

Wouldn't true duals be the best because they allow more fuel to be burnt and let out.
Resulting in more power horsepower wise?

Not necessarily. Because of the fire pattern in most V engines (L bank, R bank, L bank, etc.) Having the exhaust streams from each bank merge can help with scavenging. As the staggered exhaust pulses merge they can form one solid stream and help to increase the flow out of the engine.
