One comes with the other, properly.
You are not going to get V8 amounts of torque from the VQ, but you can get a good increase.

Is it mean that if I want my car to go faster I need to focus on torque right?
I mean 0-60mph. and Can we increase maximum speed of the car?

Sry for asking stupid question but this is my first sport car^^

The speed limiter on the car can be removed and the car can go a good amount faster given a number of theoreticals based on the cars drag coefficient, the gearing and the amount of torque/HP available at a given RPM.

I'm guessing, but I think the car would top out at around 178-185MPH before the engine simply can't push the car down the road any faster. It has everything to do with the torque at the highest RPMs, because there's a slow dropoff.

As for making the car faster on accelleration - the cheapest method would be to strip the interior and make the car overall lighter.

Next to that, a good exhaust and intake.

If you want to spend some money, get a Twin Turbo Kit installed, and see about getting the rar diff ratio dropped a bit to take advantage of it.

Anyhow, 165MPH (the limiter in the car) isn't fast enough to outrun physics or a police radio, and outside of the Autobahn, I don't know of any place you can legally drive that fast.

Focus on transmission output torque (the tranny simply works as a torque multiplier; same for the final drive ratio). And always focus on high avg numbers. Peak numbers are for marketing.

You can drive as much as your car can go in Thailand If you get caught it cause you 15$ that all ^^ So how can I make remove the limited in can to make 185mph ^^ Is Stillen is the best option here because in my country Stillen price is triple form here. T^T or should I for for HKS instead? Any exhaust is recommend?

:hello:

I lived in Thailand (Udorn) for nearly 3 years. A long time ago, of course. So much has changed now.

I remember the "Bangkok Buses" crusing down a 2-lane highway doing 130-140 KPH.

Has there been any confimation of how fast people who have taken the limiter off have gone? I just want to know because I occasionally get weird looks from people who say "It only does 155mph? I figured it was faster than that."

OhYeah 03-05-2010 07:39 AM

Some person in this board told me it can to 297kph

155mph is the electronic speed limiter required by the US government.
It can be removed, top speed of the car is unknown currently.

i think it will do 170... someone who works at a airport with a ecu reflash needs to take a trip down the runway lol

of course with a good amount of downforce applied, at those speeds the Z would probably take off like a 747!

I am hoping next year to make it to the Texas mile and will have my limiter removed. Though getting to 150 in a mile is actually pretty tough.

As far as HP goes looks like this one's the winner

370Z Supersprint Exhaust - (Style: Catback or Full - Pipe Diameter: 63.5mm - Muffler Tip: 4"- Gains(Full): 29.6 whp/13.5 wtq - Dyno: Link)

Holy necro-thread.

Are you sure those numbers aren't with the stock cats replaced instead of cat-back results? I'd be skeptical of those numbers by the looks of the exhaust underneath.
