High Flow Throttle System From MINE'S
The Mine's High Flow Throttle System has increased the diameter of the factory throttle by 2.5mm, and increased the flow area as well as polished its inner surface. Furthermore, it reduces friction whilst retaining the strength and reliability by reducing the throttle shaft thickness to the max. Meanwhile, Mine's have further resurfaced and polished the inner surface with ultra precision diamond cutting technology, whilst an ideal Venturi shape has been adopted to the inside of the throttle, and we made it even smoother all the way in. In addition, the shaft is polished to reduce friction, but strength has been carefully calculated. We also used a special flat screw to minimize flow friction. The more throttle you apply, the more effective it will be. With superior charging efficiency and inhalation resistance, the vehicle response can be dramatically increased. For ultimate performance, it is recommended to use the Mine's High Flow Throttle System with customize VX-ROM ECU's which we are known for, and this will produce great response. Mine's

These have been released for some time. I live Mine's quality, their work with the R34 GT-R was nothing short of brilliant. I see big things in the future with their Z34 as soon as they wrap things up with the R35.

Given the VVEL system is where our "throttle" is controlled, and the throttle body remains open - why do we even have a throttle body? Why not remove the butterfly, polish the interior surface, and let it be?

at the low low price of anywhere between 2,000 and 3,500 USD !
I am actually very curious what kind of gains this would provide and if the Japanese tuners have learned ways to yield higher tuning results. I have the opportunity to get tuned by Smokey Nagata from Top Secret but he wants to charge $1,200 bucks for his new program, the tune, and it's supposed to be on the stock ECU as well. I already have an UpRev tune so I'm not sure if that money would be well spent. Last edited by B1nks; 02-21-2010 at 11:11 AM. |

Seems due to a 'lack of current options' that some Z mods are just silly in terms of pricing, give it 12 months when everything has settled, VVEL tuning is old hat etc etc, there will be a number of offerings for our little ole Z.
1200 for a tune is just stupid no matter who it is. 2K + for throttle mods, holy crap, Id want a whole intake manifold....

it doesn't have to be titled it it just has to be about these throttlebodies right? thats they way it was with redneck mud boy. give me five i'll link them in
Edit: ok i'm wrong throwing it out there now i'll delete the repost post. got muddled up with the mines throttlebody video in the impul thread, when the video only shows the new gtr throttlebodies I new i saw mine's throttlebodies somewhere they were just for a similar car in your thread about throttlebodies for our car. Edit2: checked courtesy parts and in my defense our throttlebodies have the exact same part numbers as the GTR ones. so the ones in the video were our throttlebodies also Edit3: ok jury is still out on whether they are the same as the gtr ones or not because courtesy parts aparently uses the same numbers for similiar parts on both cars even if they are totally different (i.e. gaskets) Last edited by 1slow370; 02-21-2010 at 10:56 PM. |

It looks like the stock throttle bodies could be honed and modded for cheaper. The screew sticking out is not that big of a deal is it?

Price with out numbers it not a very good marketing tatic.. I'm guessing if they were good it would have been made known.. Agree?
If it were a 30 HP gain.. we (might) be jumping at this.. but to not include what we gain from this is Quote:

For this price I could do a fly wheel and get the same thing.. and better throttle performance..

This would probably be one of those parts to purchase with a full on NA build. Better yet, just port and polish them while you are having the rest of your motor blueprinted and polished.
But then you could brag that you have Mine's parts to the guys at the meets, lol!
