Default After installing intakes, should I reset the ECU?

I've read that some reset their ECU after installing CAI's or any intakes for that matter. I've also read that others just let the ECU "relearn" the the new air flow on its own from just driving around. What is your recommendation? Also, in order to reset the ECU is it just a matter of disconnecting the battery?

Reset it.

You are supposed to unplug the battery when you work on that stuff anyways.

I reset the ECU after every mod just so it can reboot with the new mods in place, give it some time to "learn" the changes I suppose. I use the same method that I've used for every car i've had to reset it, unplug the negative terminal, hold the brakes in for a minute to get all the residual juice outta the system and let it sit for a half hour or so. If you unplug it before the install, it should be ready to plug back up when you're done.
