Default PCV valves

On my car I, at the original turbo install, they deleted the pcv valve on the passenger's side to make room for the pipes and it lead to some nasty problems. In order to put a pcv valve back in I had to machine up a low profile elbow fitting to sneak out the pcv line in the limited space, and now I use an inline pcv valve that is 3/8" hose barb to 3/8" hosebarb.... problem is the one I used was a PoS and cracked in half after a single season of limited usage.

Does anyone else also use one of these pcv valves who has found a higher quality valve?

Also, perhaps it's just too restrictive of a valve so it doesn't last. I can't really find anything to educate me on how they're rated for flow, nor on how to select a proper valve. Perhaps someone could lead me down the right path here.

I attached a picture of the elbow fitting for the curious. I actually had to again modify it by milling off the hose barb, drilling and tapping it with a pipe thread; then I machined a fitting with a pipe thread and a hose barb that then threaded into the elbow block to get her installed. Machinist for the win.
