It's definitely an awesome combo!

The left one was half unscrewed and both were easily screwed in/out by hand. The technician obviously didn't pay attention to make sure everything was secured. Tightened those and went for a test drive, and man does the exhaust sound sweet!!!! And, of course, no more rattle!

Yes, I had the Invidia exhaust installed before. Ran it for about 600 km before the HFC install. I definitely want to get my ECU tuned...likely Cobb AP. That would be cool to get the same map as yours, since we have the same equipment. I read your other thread and 25-30 HP and lb-ft gain after the tune is crazy awesome, man! I wonder if I should get an e-tune from them or even a dyno tune somewhere to get the most gains (as each car could be slightly different, we live in different climates/altitudes, and buy different gas)???

Also, thanks to Nissangeneration of ERZ (forum sponsor) for suggesting that I should check the O2 caps. If anyone else is interested in a set of ERZ HFCs, definitely fire him a PM.

BTW, 250 km so far and no CELs.
How did you find the exhaust note after the HFC were installed?

It just purrs! Exactly as Bluestyle described it. Nice deep throaty tone...just how a sports car should sound. Louder and richer than just CBE alone, but mostly when gunning it. Not much louder when cruising. I find myself driving with the windows rolled down most of the time just because it sounds so good.

Does it vibrate all the time or intermittently? I had a vibration that was constant no matter the RPM...if you read my earlier posts from a couple of weeks ago, you'll see I found my rattle was caused by loose O2 caps. Make sure those are tightened. Do you have the stock exhaust? If so, make sure the heat shielding isn't loose or coming in contact with anything else. If the connections (flanges) are seated properly, bolts tightened and there's no exhaust leak, then they should be fine. Is any part of your exhaust contacting other parts of the car (e.g. sway bar)? Just a few ideas...hope it's an easy find and fix.

it is not constant. as soon as the rpm drops down that's the time it vibrates. the whole catback system is shaking like crazy. I have Invidia Gemini installed last week and I don't have this problem at all.

you should still make sure the (2)02 cap is tighten enough because I only hand tight them before I ship it , also the cel fix bung is two piece make sure the second piece is tight also because I also hand tight that only before I ship them.

only these two piece can move and screw on.

if after this don't work you might want to consider stronger exhaust hangers.

So I was thinking this weekend about how people talking about this exhaust being a little more restrictive when compared to other exhausts on the market. Allowing it to be a little quieter but in return producing a little less gains.

But then it hit me.

As the first breathing part put on the car yields the most gains; then wouldn't pairing this exhaust with hfc's somewhat negate the smaller gains made by the exhaust alone?

There are dyno's on the forum showing huge gains from HFC's and then small from CBE because of the order they were put on, and then the same reversed.

So with HFC and this exhaust put on I'd assume that the restriction is moot when put up against the gains over other exhausts paired with HFC's that are said to be less restrictive.

Please correct me if my thinking is wrong.

I am going back tomorrow to the shop to check everything out again one more time. the "cel fix bung" the o2 sensor won't fit on that extender that's why I didn't use it.
