OEM Throttle Body vs EPS Tuning
A guy was selling his EPS Tuning 70mm throttle bodies because his tuner said it was easier to tune. That being said, he also mentioned he was going forced induction. I wonder if it's a good aftermarket part investment or I will eventually have to sell it for the same reason?

I have the EPS throttle bodies and it takes a tuner who tunes them alot to work out all the kinks. I still have rev hang and its a bit annoying.

I have the EPS 70mm and I like them.
My car was already tuned, and so I just bolted them on, and performed the idle relearn with my laptop and EcuTek. No functional issues at all, and no re-tuning required in my case. SG |
The general consensus is the horsepower gains from the EPS throttle bodies on a naturally aspirated application is negligible considering the drawbacks of extra hassle to get them dialed in and a not so good drivability.
All in all, the 70mm TB are not a good investment for one like myself who wants to stay N/A, for now. If somebody still wants to change their OEM throttle bodies for EPS, they should expect tuning issues and possibly reliability too. |
