If you are talking about the video I am thinking of, they cut the hole wrong thus having to make a bracket to support the intake. If you follow the instructions you just cut a little bit off and fit the intake in and they will be fine. I added Gen III about two weeks ago and just checked them yesterday, no movement or any issues.

the hole you make supports the intake correct? probably a good idea to get some rubber hose and split it to make a gasket around the hole right?

We were going to do that, but the pipe is built so well and the edges are not that sharp. They scratch the pipe a little as you slide them through, you can tape the pipe up and peel it off if you want, but the rubber is really not needed I found out.

Nope, did a full cleaning of my car yesterday and start checking the intakes for movement. They are very solid, a little give but that is good in my mine, but no rattle.

actually in the instructions i got with the ones i just bought it says that since one of the tubes they give u is long enough for both pcv hoses, to cut the otherone in half and use that in the holes. So stillen has it in the instructions even

The rubber hose included is not the best for fully wrapping the cut area, it will work for sitting on the bottom but that is about it.

When you cut the holes in the core to accept the pipe, just ensure it's a snug fit. Rubber hose could vibrate loose over time.
My Gen3s' have been in for about 5,000 mi. now with no issues.
