Remark V2 axle back
ETA is June but I'm looking for any early feedback. I might guinea pig on this one, we'll see. Note there are threads on the V1; the canister differs on this unit. I'm hoping it addresses the issues others have spoken about with the V1

I have version 1 from day 1. It was exactly what I wanted. What’s the difference? Only thing I can tell is. Ver1 2 separate muffler ver2 it’s 2pc but welded together.

If you do get it Mike let us know how you like it. I still believe that AAM Competition makes the best quality axleback for our cars.

I found that ConceptZPerf. has it for 15% off + shipping. Scheduled to be at my door on 5/26 and I'm anxiously waiting to see and hear it. I'll post pictures and sound clips ASAP. |
Thanks for the follow up MplsPete, eager to hear your feedback. It the only exhaust Im considering right now and I hope its meet your expectations. I just notice a wee bit of shudder under braking so I might have to take care of the rotors first. I always wanted the z1 2pc, but that gonna leave a mark lol

Remark v2 Axle Back Installed
6 Attachment(s)
Just finished installing my new Remark v2 axle back exhaust and I must say I'm impressed.
It started raining as I was recording the video below, so I was only able to record start up and idle. I may try recording more in the future but not sure when. The fitment is spot on and the polished finish looks wonderful, I'm not a fan of burnt tips. Removal and install was straight-forward and simple. (Hardware included 4 nuts/4 bolts/2 gaskets/1 plastic Remark license plate frame.) The weld quality looks pretty good as well, IMHO. I must say that at first I loved the stock exhaust note but, as was suggested to me by several members, "you'll want more from the exhaust after a while". I learned the error of my ways and do agree that, yes the stock exhaust is lacking an aggressive note. Why the Nismo versions of our cars didn't come from the factory sounding at least this good is beyond me. The Remark exhaust on the other hand doesn't seem to be overly loud but, definitely is louder than stock and with a deeper and somewhat aggressive tone. I hope to get "My New, Improved ZCar" out tomorrow for a drive to stretch her legs a bit, weather dependent. Here is a video comparison of stock OEM to Remark and also a few photos. https://youtu.be/u4e4xJOe7oM |

@mplspete, if you get time post a update on things after break in.
Curious to hear your take on the cabin noise after its had a few miles on it |
New to the forum and new to the 370Z world, I ordered up the same axle back from Remark and I am very pleased with it. The cabin noise is minimal while driving around town (low drone) but when you get on it....wow, the sound is deeper and not raspy, heads turn for sure. This was exactly what I was wanting.

It sounds great at start up and when I get on it. Cabin noise is more noticeable than stock but definitely not objectionable, and I can easily carry on a conversation or listen to music. It really sounds like the car is finally alive and no longer sleeping. If there is drone I would say only when I dropped into 6th gear at low speed and then accelerated slightly. Normally I wouldn’t do this, but wanted to hear what it would sound like. |

I used to have Remark V1’s and I found them unbearable as far as drone and resonance was concerned. The V1’s are basically short tails with resonators. I’m just wondering if those issues are eliminated in V2 due to the use of actual muffler chambers and x-pipe configuration. |
