Exhaust choice and 2 step my car
Hi guys, new to here, these days I want to have some new exhaust on my 2016 370z nismo since the stock exhaust is way too quiet even with nismo tune.
I am looking at FI's exhaust with 18 resonators and the problem is i am not sure how deep the sound is gonna be like, i dont really like those crack noise and high tone, what i am looking for is deeper roar, even for 2 step, i dont really like those pop like gun shot, instead, i am looking for some pop that is deeper, any suggestions? Thanks a lot! BTW, I am looking at tomei and HKS as well, but my buddy told me tomei would be super noisy on 370z, for HKS I dont really have any thought about how good it will be, since all camara have auto gain, you can not really hear how loud it is gonna be like. For 2 step, my buddy suggested me go with aftermarket ecu with more options for map, but not sure which company have good maps for performance and 2 step pop. (I have a K&N cold air intake for my car, or if you want call it HOT AIR INTAKE LOL) |

FI is the popular choice for CBEs. Exhausts are really subjective. And SpecialtyZ is the only choice for a tune. Aftermarket ECU for options for more maps? huh?

You don't want Tomei, I know at least that.
The resonated 18 is probably what you're looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTI1R8qGcvk HKS is nice too. 2 steps are the new rice. It's an NA car, what do you need it for. Last edited by CRiZO; 02-03-2020 at 09:13 AM. |

Tomei is about the farthest thing from a deep tone. Resonated test pipes will be a major help for a deeper tone. Greddy or Fast Intentions would be your best options. Last edited by Whjaxn17; 02-03-2020 at 09:34 AM. |

The was in response to "Specialty Z is the only choice for a tune"
OP, either of these systems will have a wait time. Greddy has a single exit option, but if you're looking at HKS and FI, I assume you're leaning toward dual. Whatever resonator option you choose from FI or the Evolution line from Greddy. I'm sure you'll be pleased with either.

Just leave the 2 step to the turbo cars. It does nothing for a NA car. Besides, an aftermarket ECU will run you about 10K US dollars for hardware, installation, and tune.

I think OP needs to join the FB group.
Go get an Admin Tune if you wanna “2 stepping” on NA.

I have that exact exhaust and it is super deep. Best sounding exhaust for the 370z that I have ever heard.
I had a Ark DTS before this and the Fast Intentions sounds 10x better. |

A 2 step refers to a 2 step Rev limiter. You can set a manual one in the middle of the rpm range and it will hold the car at that limiter when the throttle is fully depressed. The 2nd one is the high RPM rev limiter. That is why it is called a 2 step. These are both used when the car is moving. Supposed to be.
