My HFCs had some nasty rasp for the first week or two. It settled down tremendously after a few heat cycles. Now I have a hint of rasp when listening outside the car if things are cold. On a hot exhaust, I only get compliments on the sound. Give it a little time to settle in. If it's still bad in two weeks, call ERZ and complain.

unfortunately i dont think anyone has, yet. depending on the rasp/hissing issues im having (ie. if they go away) my next mod will be an uprev tune since im fully satisfied with the current power/sound of the nismo exhaust/ERZ hfc. will have dynos then!
on that note...i got the CEL today "service engine soon" wont be home for another hour to pull the code though. |

anyone have issues with constant CEL's?
i got my first CEL a month ago - catalytic converter efficiency bank 2. ive since cleared it, stuffed in varying amounts of stainless steel wool, and no fix. if im driving in the city, it seems to hold up, but freeway driving causes the CEL to come back almost guarenteed. i keep my ODB2 reader in my glove box just to clear it...but its getting old. |

Some HFC users encounter recurring CEL b/c of the O2 sensors. In that case, you may need to get the O2 bung extenders, and then stuff steel wool in those.

Yes, that's also another option if you're going to get a dyno tune. They basically program it so that the ECU ignores the O2 sensor input at the HFC so you won't get a CEL because of that anymore.

Otherwise, keep adding o2 bung extenders until you don't get the code anymore.
