What about the flange curvature all these guys have been noticing?
Yeah that doesn't seem very fair to you. I guess if you're happy with the end results it's not a big deal though?

I took a look at mine last night (deep sigh...been waiting to get them installed. Finally going on this Saturday) and it looks like they were grinded down a bit to ensure a flush connection at the flange ( So quality control was done on mine ).

Quality looked good on mine as well. The guys at Import Performance Specialist who installed the HFC commented on how well they grinded the inside of the pipes. I drive a lot and have already put 750 miles on these HFC in two weeks. No CEL and no leaks!

On a side note I got the new NT05 Tires mounted right after the HFC. These tires grip like no other. Makes for some really fun driving. At high speeds and cornering the NT05’s really shine. I thought the Bridgestone Potenza were a bit twitchy at high speeds not very confidence inspiring.

I spoke with Tommie @ ERZ Performance today and he assured me that the bend is intentional. He told me that each cat they make goes through a quality control process where the cat must fit into a master jig which replicates an actual install. If it fails that..it gets scrapped.

He was really friendly and knowledgeable.

I can tell a fair amount of detail was paid to mine…all the burs and welding anomalies have been filled off.

Mine are definitly going on this Saturday. I will update my thread with the videos

I recall being very impressed when I looked mine over before install. I'm pretty picky, so even though I can't recall details, they must have passed mental QC eval.

ERZ is great on the telephone. Don't be put off by some of the short, grammatically incorrect replies they post on here. These guys know what they're talking about and are very straightforward if you have questions or issues.

Just got off the phone with ERZ and I'm very happy with their customer service They've already faxed me a return shipping label and are sending out a replacement. Looks like I just got a bad apple. Glad to hear everyone else's looked good.

Don't let this discourage anyone from buying these. I'm taking down the pictures so people don't think they all look like that. This was just a bad set that slipped through the cracks. I'll update when the replacements arrive.

Thanks ERZ!

Holy mother of god...I just creamed my pants. I installed the ERZ HFC's today and omg. The sound is freekn nuts. While I was outside my car...my buddy did a hard pull away and wow...not sure what the words are to describe how sick it now sounds. And I definitely feel a HP gain. I feel the power especially on high RPM shifts; the pull is much smoother and harder going in the next gear (2rd through 6th).

Go to ERZ's web site and order NOW...don't waste any time thinking about it.

BTW - I do not get any hiss (typically with most HFC's) with my Invidia Gemini setup

I will post an updated video tomorrow on my person post ( http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...fc-review.html )

Totally agree. When I put mine on, I was shocked at the butt dyno difference. I was spinning the tires with shifts into 3rd pretty easily (winter tires though) and this wasn't happening with the stock cats.

When I put the winter tires on in November, I remember being bummed out that my car turned into a granny mobile. I can't wait to put the summer rubber back on and try out the HFC/CBE combo for real.

yea man...shows just how much of a bottle neck the stock cats are. You could have the most free flowing CBE but if the exhaust gas is being dramatically slowed down before it even gets to that part of the pipes then it makes the aftermarket CBE less valuable.

HFC's =
