I hate to sound cruel but there is real benefit do doing that and you're wasting your time. Just get K&N drop ins or do nothing at all (even with drop ins, I honestly think it's a waste of time because you still won't notice any differences from stock). These cars are sort of hard to work on if you plan on doing any mods that involve ANYTHING in the engine bay and it's even harder to work on if don't have the tools or mechanical skills.

If you have the money, it's best to just get cold air intakes and have a shop do it or get the intakes and a pack of beer and work on it with one of your friends or someone from this forum who does have mechanical skill.

Other than that, don't bother because you'll still be seeing the taillights of a Z with the CAI and a tune.
